Under supervision of Massachusetts Division of Fish and Wildlife, and with a generous grant from the Groton-Dunstable Education Foundation, our 8th grade science students prepared a specialized aquarium with insulation, filtration, refrigeration, aeration, sensors, and conditioned water. We received approximately 200 brook trout eggs, maintained and monitored health of the eggs, until they hatched on January 9. We are licensed to manage these wild animals until we release them into their native Massachusetts waters in the springtime.
